Trauma & PTSD Therapy
Healing at a pace that feels safe
Trauma can change how you move through the world. It can show up long after the event itself, in your body, your relationships, and the way you see yourself. Whether you’re living with the effects of a single experience or something that happened over time, you deserve support that respects your choices and your pace. At Collective Elements, we offer trauma-informed therapy in Eugene and by telehealth across Oregon.
What it can feel like
- Feeling on edge or on alert, even when nothing is wrong
- Memories that show up when you don't want them
- Avoiding people, places, or situations that bring up reminders
- Feeling numb, disconnected, or far away from your own life
- Difficulty sleeping or relaxing
- Struggling to feel safe or to trust others
If any of this sounds familiar, you’re not alone, and what you’re feeling makes sense.
Trauma & PTSD Therapy
How we help
Trauma therapy starts with trust. Before anything else, your therapist will focus on building a relationship where you feel safe, respected, and in control of the process. You decide what we talk about and when.
You won’t be asked to retell what happened before you’re ready, and some people never need to. Much of the work focuses on helping you feel more grounded in the present, understanding how trauma shows up for you, and finding ways to respond that feel manageable.
Our clinicians draw on a range of trauma-informed approaches, including EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, body-centered work, and mindfulness. Your therapist will work with you to choose what fits.
Trauma & PTSD Therapy
What to expect
Early sessions focus on getting to know you, what brought you in, and what you want from therapy. From there, you and your therapist will shape the work together, adjusting as you go. Sessions are available in person at our Eugene office or by secure telehealth anywhere in Oregon.
